Universal grabs rights to Asteroids movie
We’ve all been waiting for a big movie studio to create an Asteroids movie, right? Apparently Universal thinks so, as they’ve just picked up the rights to make one.
Here’s the really strange part. There were two other movie studios that were bidding against Universal to grab the rights. Who knew that Asteroids would become such a hot property so many years down the road?!
Matthew Lopez (Disney) is handling the script, and Lorenzo di Bonaventura (Transformers, GI Joe and Doom) is producing. I don’t exactly have the most faith in this product right now.
