Each week on GoNintendo, we bring you a wealth of information from Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu. It’s probably the most well-known Japanese gaming magazine, and it’s certainly very popular in Japan. If you have a game coming out that you want to get noticed, going the Famitsu route is a very good idea.

So just how does Famitsu work? It turns out that Famitsu deals quite often with the ‘advertorial’, which ends up being a paid preview of a game. Publishers can pay for up to a 9-page spread for their games, including all sorts of artwork and information that looks just like any other preview, but money is the motivation behind it.
