“The stylised look of Scribblenauts offers something fresh and friendly that doesn’t appear intimidating. That combined with the addictive gameplay means that it will definitely strike a chord with casual, female and maybe even ‘grey’ gamers. What Scribblenauts offers is something akin to Nintendo’s Professor Layton – an addictive and challenging game that has real mass-market appeal all wrapped up in a uniquely stylised package. We fully expect this title to be the start of a brand new franchise in the DS puzzle market.” - Warner Bros marketing manager Phil Lamb
Hmmm…not sure I agree with the Layton/Scribblenauts crossover. I hope I’m wrong, because I’d love to see a huge market for this game, no matter what the consumer! As for those comments about a franchise, I’m not too sure 5th Cell knows about that!
Mr. Lamb confirmed an extensive print ad for Scribblenauts in the UK, as well as a mall tour where consumers can go hands-on with the title.
