Who here aiming to become a video developer, and if so why?

I was inspire by Nintendo and other wonderfully directors to create games, struck gold by developing such a masterpiece. If your a person who can brainstorm random ideas by just staring around your surrounding, then you'll fit and perfect for the Media Business.

I decided I wanted to be a game designer because of all the ideas I have for different games. I want to bring enjoyment to people through what I do. I graduated from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in May this year with a degree in Interactive Media and Game Development. My goal is to have my own game company in a few years, hopefully.

I'm hoping to be a game designer when I grow up. I'm going to study game design for some years starting late August this year, and afterwards I hope to join a game company - or hopefully start up my own with some friends. My ultimate goal would be to get my own ideas out, but just working on the creative design side of someone else's game (characters, levels...) would be fun too.

I`m hoping to become a dev as well. I have so many ideas, that Iv'e taken to constantly keeping a pencil and paper nearby at all times. I'm still in high school though, but this is definitely something i want to do. I'm planning on studying computer science at university in 2014, but untill then, I'll just keep looking critically at, and enjoying video games. I feel that to make a good game, you really need to understand what makes a game good, and what makes them really tedious, or just otherwise crappy.
