Pokemon X and Y (October 2013)

Some people would rather have this game sprite-based and on DS...I say:"Are you on crack?" I skipped gen 5 because I got bored of the sprites and now I wanna play this! Coliseum and XD were the only Pokemons I really got into!

If they can't do a nice looking 3D overworld, then yes, I would prefer that they stay with at least presentable sprites or some kind of polished hybrid.

Yeah, but those people (majority) are whining about the Pokemon not being sprites.

Pokemon's had 3D overworlds since Diamond/Pearl. Overworld only looks weird because of the camera angle and the way 3DS screens look on a monitor vs playing the game (and in 3D). It's also stylized, so it's going to look bizarre. They can do a nice overworld, and have already done so in non-main Pokemon games (so then maybe "they", as in Gamefreak haven't?), they just chose to make a 3D world that LOOKS like a raised 2D work.

I have a theory. Well there was a new pokemon/form shown today. (4/7/13)

Seems like to me it is a new pokemon. It could be another clone (not mewthree but probably another name.) Based on the DNA like symbol in the japanese logo, the new evil group tried cloning once again. And this is the ultimate pokemon they have created.

I also believe Mewthree (Or whatever they call it) will be another attempt to clone Mew. An alternate form to Mewtwo could also be likely, but I hope they leave Mewtwo alone. He doesn't need any other forms imo. I didn't like the tail location at first, but it is growing on me. He looks to similar to Mewtwo with his tail in the proper location.

We are only 6 months away now. Since this game is getting a worldwide release at the same time we can probably go into the game not knowing much about it or any of the Pokemon. Usually we get these games months after Japan, but I'm glad they have streamlined their localization process.

My hope is that the Pokedex 3D Pro app gets an update the same day that links to your pokedex in the game. Then after about a year an update will unlock any pokemon you have not seen.

From what I've seen so far, i don't think the newest pokemon is an alt form of Mewtwo, I see it shorter and simpler. Could be a baby Mewtwo, or another experiment from Team Rocket, or whatever team is in X & Y

By the way, the reveal trailer of Mewtwo Jr. (as I'm calling it for now) shows it battling against Genesect, so I guess that technically confirms the ability to transfer Pokémon from (at least) GenV to X and Y, but I guess this is common sense by now, unless they make a Genesect distribution in GenVI.

Serebii.net... they just got the new CoroCoro magazine, and it confirms the new character is in fact Mewtwo in a new form...

Totally knew this was gonna happen, but I'm still not sure how I feel about my favorite Pokemon's new form... don't know if I'll ever get over those wierd legs and goofy feet...

Nothing related to Mewtwo here, but I always wanted the ability to change the appearance of your character like in Pokemon Battle Revolution. I think that'd be a nice feature. And I hope that to transfer B/W2 "Mons", you only need one 3DS. Maybe there will be an app for that, but i'm not sure how that will work since you have to play through the game to transfer pokemon.

Yeah I checked serebii shortly after, sorry haha. Anyway, I like the new form, but I kinda get why some are upset I guess. Hopefully they'll put Mewtwo back in Smash and have this form only as his Final Smash? Maybe...
