Ambassador Program (Zelda II NES Update Out)

Whats better then one screen? Well two screens of course! Current-gen portables inside: DS, Lite, DSi, DSXL, 3DS...

Fire Emblem technically has one. Suppose the game is shut off or whatever as you're playing. Resuming the game would generally send you back right where you were.

I'd like to consider that a form of automatic saving.

Wrong Fire Emblem though :/ The original FE for GBA was far superior to Sacred Stones.

UPDATE
Super Mario Bros. (NES) has a Game Update under Downloads that adds Save State functionality, in addition to changing the Title Card.

I'm digging the Super Mario Bros new title graphic (I also like that the sound is not that generic sound all the ambassador games have)

Yeah, downloaded my update. I thought it was odd though when I checked for updates it said no updates were available for any of my software. But when I went to my downloads there were like 5 games on there that had updates (not sure what any of them did besides Super Mario Bros. though.) I also love the new icon thing on the 3DS menu, that alone is worth the update (I have absolutely no need for save states in Super Mario Bros.) Didn't Japan get an update like this for Legend of Zelda months ago? Wonder why we haven't got that, save states would actually be more useful for that game.

Updates seem to only work when there's one and you go into the eShop. Speaking of, the original Metroid for NES now has an Update to give it Save States and a fancy new logo.

Here I was thinking the coin sound effect for Super Mario Bros. was because it was from that game. I was kind of looking forward to hearing what they would do with the other virtual console games for the sound, but it seems like the coin sound effect will be used for all virtual console NES games. Not a big deal, I know, but it surprised me a little bit.

So, Zelda 2 finally came out on virtual console today. I assumed because of every other ambassador game that's been released on VC that there would be an update. And this is the only one of all of them that even needs save states, it's by far the hardest, I mean who needs save states on Donkey Kong Jr, or Super Mario Bros? Basically it's theonly one of the NES ambassador games I even gave a crap about being updated. Anyway it would not update, so I erased it from my 3DS and redownloaded it, erasing my save file of about 10 hours, just because I wanted the update so badly. But,after downloading it, it has no save states, and not even the cool little icon on the 3DS menu with the NES and TV screen. What the hell are they thinking, I'm so pissed about this.

Ergh, man... I was just thinking when I saw this thread updated that I should go get that update, only to come to that. I wanted DKJr. to get the update just because it should have updated like everything else, but yeah, this game DEFINITELY needed it. Good grief...oh well, I'm not ready for it yet since I still need to find time to finish the first Zelda, but I hope they figure it out and do it, and not just make an excuse and leave it this way. :/

You know, I agree to an extent, actually. I find both to be good additions to the series but overall I prefer the first one by a small margin.
