3ds XL Available colors

My question is pertaining to US, but this topic can be continued for all regions if desired.

My friend bought a 3ds XL today, and he said he saw a Red, Blue, and Teal. Now, I didn't think a teal was even released! Is it a special I didn't know about? Or is my friend just 'thinking' he saw a Teal XL?

Nintendo has only officially released Red and Blue 3DS XL models in the US, plus the Pink one that's exclusive to an online store for a limited time.

If I could guess, he probably mistook the Aqua Blue 3DS model for an XL. That color is pretty close to Teal.

Does anyone know if there's been any announcement about new 3DS colors for the US anytime soon?

I'm set on getting a 3DS XL, but not really interested in the red and blue models. How far after the release does Nintendo usually put new colors out?

Besides the Pink/White 3DS XL available through HSN there hasn't been any others announced for the US, while the UK on the other hand is getting a White 3DS XL and a limited edition Pikachu Yellow 3DS XL.

I too would like to know. This is literally the only thing keeping me back from buying an XL. I wouldn't mind White though. hopefully we get all the UK colors as well as the pink for my wife. She needs Animal Crossing!

So we finally get a new color for the 3DS XL in America... and it's the PIKACHU YELLOW XL.

I guess I'll have to wait some more. But please, let there be more colors available before Animal Crossing New Leaf comes out, mmkay Nintendo?

I honestly don't get why everyone is upset over no white color in NA... The DSL's white didn't sell hardly at all, and everytime I was in a store and saw someone buy the DSL, it was always the black one. I think reggie is doing a good move by holding it back, as long as we get limited edition 3DS XLs
