Which means they must reveal and launch games in a timely manner.

10 days before Xmas, does Nintendo need to reveal a game for a strong Xmas and January numbers?
Or can they ride it out till March with the launch window games?

If Microsoft is planning for a 2013 launch, they might start hyping their console much earlier than E3.
So, does Nintendo need to show at least one title that looks and performs better than current gen games?
A true next gen looking title.

I wouldn't expect to see any new games come out until we're a month or two out of the "launch window"

i hope there isn't a 2-month gap between launch window and a release of new games, unless you mean Nintendo developed. i feel like we should have already seen some news or videos on unannounced games that will release after the launch window. even if its something thats releasing in the summer, just enough to keep the interest level high.

as it stands now, the only launch window game that im interested in is Monster Hunter Ultimate and thats March. Is that even launch window? I hope they start showing more soon.

I hope something special is shown soon because people will lose intrest and eye up the competition end of next year.For me most wii u launch games are mediocore,i feel Nintendo need to step up in quality and quantity with there games and not just slap their own gold seal of approval.

Saying that monolith worked with nintendo on skyward sword and monolith say they want to make a skyrim style game,and with nintendo owning 80% of monolith and also they have moved premises next to nintendo could wii be seeing a zelda/skyrim style game.Hope so.

The xmas game is Mario U. Nintendo will ride the launch window with those games and a couple of updates.

Chances are we'll see a Mario Kart, 3D Mario and possibly whatever Retro (as they haven't done anything by themselves in a while) or Monolith (as they said they started working on something as soon as Xenoblade finished) have been working on for 2013. I wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo will showcase a Zelda game, Super Smash Bros, (maybe Metroid, Starfox or FZero depending which rumors for Retro you want to believe or maybe they took over Eternal Darkness with Silicon Knights going through it's problems) just to take away some thunder from rumored E3 2013 announcements for PS4/720. There's even that rumor Nintendo is funding and collaborating with an unlikely 3rd party developer so if my hopes are right we could finally see Timesplitters 4 being announces as a U exclusive. I know it's a dream, but it's my dream dammit and I want my TS4 even if it has to be U exclusive ^.^

But yeah, the correct thing to do is either give a release date for a game already announced (instead of following in 3DS's footsteps of LETS ANNOUNCE LUIGI'S MANSION 2 AND ANIMAL CROSSING AND RELEASE THEM 2 YEARS LATER DURR line of thinking), like say, Pikmin 3, or announce a new game that isn't far off. Namely, a Mario copypasta title like Mario Kart or a sports game of some sort.

But I could easily see Wii U doing what Wii and 3DS did/is doing and just keep us in the shadows and wonder why there's no momentum.

I'm basically waiting for Pikmin 3 before my next wiiU game, I might get something from the eshop to tide me over now since it was moved back.

I've been looking all over the place but can't find a release date list for announced games if I could I might end up getting something else depending on what the release calendar looks like.

i don't know how reliable gamespot.com 's release schedule is, but there is only like 2 or 3 games releasing over the next 2 months. im sure it doesn't help that Toki Tori 2 got delayed. i know nothing of the game, but i was interested in it just from the little bit i saw around here.

Depends if he also means exclusive, Rayman Legends, as Broly already said, was an easy one. Then, if he's referring to "at all" as in any time in it's life, ZombiU and Ninja Gaiden 3 have shown to be amazing contenders there already.

I'm hoping Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate keeps me occupied until more actual Wii U games exist. Nothing besides NSMBU exists for me right now.

I am keeping an eye on Pikmin 3 though.

If they give us a release date for LEGO City Undercover, Pikmin 3 and Game & Wario, I'll be happy, and it's almost a given that Nintendo/Sakurai will show a teaser of Smash Bros. 4

Zombi U, Assassins Creed III, Batmam Arkham, Black Ops II, Ninja Gaiden III, Sonic Transformed, Tekken Tag II, Scribblenauts, Rayman Legends, Trine II, Nano Assault Neo, and Mighty Switch Force make a pretty decent third party launch if you ask me. Multi-console or whatever disqualifiers you want to put on them, but, by launch line-up standards, that's pretty decent.

Anyone that can't find something outside of Mario or whatever should really consider checking out what I consider a third-party exclusive killer app right at launch in Zombi U. But there is quality there in most genres. Unless you've already got them on other systems, I don't see any excuse to say there aren't at least a few games worth your money to keep you busy.

Just a little side note. The top two games to get the most out of your shiny new controller, imo, would be Nintendo Land and Zombi U.

Nintendo owns 96% of Monolith now. Namco Bandai sold all shares a long time ago.

Doesn't the Wonderful 101 release before April or is that being published by Nintendo?

And it's hard to say we're not getting good third party support with most of the games at launch.

I'm wondering when Nintendo will reveal that Yoshi game for Wii U.

To be fair, Their Early momentum is not bad, I mean, we have nintendo land, NSMBU, AC3, BLOPS2, Sonic racing, Batman and Tekken, and in the future, we have Rayman Legends, Monster hunter, Pikmin 3, Aliens, The Wonderful 101, Bayonetta 2, Yoshi's land and SSB4. Not bad, I'd say

If they show a trailer of Bayonetta 2, and provide some launch dates for the rest of the launch window games, that might definitely keep momentum going till GDC in March. Between March and E3, I hope they launch some surprise games from their second party developers.

I don't expect this to get better until there is a real killer app. beyond hardcore nintendo fans, the average gamer isn't going to buy a 360 with a weird controller.

I think this really shows your ignorance. Calling Wii U a 360? I want to hear a good explanation how that works considering the tech behind the Wii U and how far modern it is than the outdated 2004 processing unit within the 360- if you want to get technical.
