Wii U interface - What would U improve?

The demos are also available in Germany I think. Maybe a lot of European countries got it?

About download, you can set the console so that it automatically turns off when the download is finished. Add the fact that you can use the gamepad only and turn your TV off, it's a nice substitute to stand-by downloading.

About Demos, we actually have a button on the bottom of the homepage, it's smaller than the one in your pic but has the same use. I'm Italian btw.

I was playing a wii game last night. I would like to be able to click on the disc and go straight into the game, not to the wii u interface (there is a separate channel for that).

Also, it would be awesome if they made a way just to eliminate drilling down to the wii interface altogether - just access all your wiiWare and VC games from the wii u interface and eliminate the extra step. Wishful thinking?

i'd like it if nintendo could put the time and date into the main interface (as it was on the wii) instead of hiding it in the home menu.

also, when you open the home menu, an oversized "friends online: #" tab pops up and completely blocks the time, date, and controller status info for about 5 seconds. instead, they could make that "friends online" info a permanent part of the home menu with its own spot, or put it in the main menu where it would be more useful. all it needs to show is a small pictogram for "friends" and a number.

Yeah, that's annoying. I can't tell you how many times I've opened the home menu to check battery life, only to have to sit and wait for the friend online pop up to go away.

I would like the time visible all the time in apps as well, like the browser.

Speaking of clocks, I wouldn't mind having the gamepad show the time while docked and charging (and the wii u is off).
It could also show who's online if there was a connect24 type thing going on.

I guess this might wear out the screen after a while, but since we have this nice dock that orients the gamepad face out, we might as well make use of it. I know only people w/ the deluxe package got the dock charger, so it wouldn't work as well for the basic model owners.

Now that Im familiarized with the consoles:

• Customization: Well, there is... none right now. We could have things like different sizes of the icons (allowing for more tiles accessible at once), customizable folders, warawara plaza customization (how many titles should appear, number of miis, etc)

• Download Manager and Friend List apps accessible from main menu.

• Universal TV screen size configuration (main manu doesnt have it and it overscans, but the apps do have the configuration, WTH?)

• Allow Mii's stored in the wiiremote to be transfered onto wiiu (Im not going to do the system transfer)

- Put Miis on your Wii Remote
- Open Wii mode on Wii U
- Put Miis in Mii Channel on Wii U
- Open Mii Maker in Wii U
- Transfer Miis from Mii Channel

Already did, and didnt work. Mii channel on wiiu lacks the transfer option for some reason.

Can you transfer from Wii to 3DS?

I know you can go from 3DS to Wii U.

I believe you can go Wii -> 3DS, just not the other way around.

Ah, that's why you want to transfer from Wii. Hmm, it's weird that the transfer option isn't there. Though it's very Nintendo to only allow that for people who did a system transfer :/

Because I dont want to play Brawl and Mario Kart without GCN controllers.
I was able to copy and transfer save files individualy, I dont see a reason why not be able to do the same with miis.

So couldn't you just transfer your Kart and Brawl saves to an SD card, delete them from Wii, do the transfer, then put your save files for those games back on the WIi? Seems like that would solve your issue of wanting to keep those games on Wii and getting your Miis onto your WiiU.

Kart and Brawl have online components, you can't transfer them to an SD card unless you're doing the Wii to Wii U transfer.

You also can't use any sort of online features with Wii games through Wii Mode on Wii U.
