Wii Sports Resort interested?

So Nintendo have planned to transform part of Times Square in NY to resemble a small island for the launch of wii sports resort this week. Sandy beach, pool, tropical lounge.. and Nintendo are offering a chance to play sports resort ahead of release. Are you going, 23rd July?

it would be cool to have a meet-up at an event like this. even if there's no way i'd be able to make it. i wonder if any of the gonintendo crew will be there.

If NY was a hop skip and a jump away I'd be there, I am more excited about Wii Sports Resort then all the other games I am getting this year.

Living in Maryland, I could probably go if I REALLY wanted to... but I'm not that excited for it (It'd be a 4 hour drive). But nevertheless I am planning on getting it.

Hearing Rawmeat describe the sword-fighting on the podcast has gotten me pretty psyched. Might buy it. But i'd never make it to New York.

Bought this earlier today at Best Buy. They had about 50 copies on a single display by itself in the middle of the game section.

I've been playing all day. I mostly play sword fighting games and then I enjoy flying around in the airplane a lot. Table tennis works good. Frisbee is confusing as hell. I can't tell how I'm supposed to throw it because it keeps going in the wrong direction. It's not as intuitive as disc golf in Tiger Woods 10. Fairly solid game all around. Some mini-games don't work so well, but the ones that do are great.

I'm picking this up tomorrow at TRU (to get the gift card). I couldn't make it today...

Really excited to get that "new" feel I had when playing the first Wii Sports. You can't go wrong with 1:1 swordfighting! :mrgreen:
