Maybe, but I honestly think it's common sense to press the button right after it flashes to notice the correlation the light has with whenever a friend comes online or whatever, and just come to the conclusion from there. I understood this right away without needing to refer to a manual or ask questions, and I find the manuals themselves to be very easy to navigate.

Should be more like the 360, with a small pop up, or like android, with a small bar appearing on the edge of the screen, both telling you what happens. No possible confusion.

yea, even if they didn't want to do pop ups (even if you make them user controlled) for whatever reason, they could have made it easier to tell the difference. solid light for an incoming call, maybe blink the power light for messages, idk.

If I get one, I'd want a black one since I have the deluxe model. I gave my sister my white Wii Remotes and will get a black MotionPlus one for Christmas. That way everything will match but my gold remote/nunchuck and both remotes will have MotionPlus built in.

They should have made that an option.

Though I still personally prefer the flashing blue Home button. Its rather nice and reminds me of the 3DS notification light. :)

One thing that annoys me is that the "DOWNLOADED DATA" notification NEVER goes away. They should make it appear once and then have a notification bar display.

lol Wow, as soon as you view a Friend Request, you must either Accept or Reject it. You cannot go back to the request list or anything. I think the only actual way is to press the Home button.

KingBroly wrote:BTW, the Pro Controller is becoming RIDICULOUSLY hard to find.

The advantage of living in a medium-sized city. You can probably find anything Nintendo in stock (if it isn't crazy popular) :P I think there are a few Deluxe Sets still lying around...

When you get a message while you're playing, (from your friends), how can you tell (does the Home button blinks as well?). Also, do you have to boot Miiverse to read it, or is it more straightforward ?

The only problem I have is that it seems easier to chat with strangers in Miiverse than with your actual friends.. they should make chatting with friends easier (ie not via Miiverse, but via friend list) and also, let you post Miiverse stuff outside of communities, just for your friends/followers to see (right now, there is a lot of off topic in the Nintendo Land community).

Though, these are the only concerns I have with the system. So far, it's pretty great, and I haven't got any lock yet ! :)

This. I really hate having to post something in a certain community JUST to post something. Though I can understand that a universal community would get out of hand pretty quickly. That's why I support the "friends/followers" thing. Because that makes /sense/. Posting directly to your activity feed or whatever.

Also. Internet browser. I can't praise it enough. It's amazing for YouTube multitasking.

The Home Button will blink if you get a friend request/Miiverse message or notification/a friend is online. When press the home button, your friends list will blink if you have a friend request and Miiverse will blink if you have a message or notification. You have to load them to do anything about it.

Wii U 30/60 day Licenses and passes on eShop

Postby komicturtle92 » 04 Dec 2012 00:55

Has anyone noticed this? In the eManual of the eShop, there's a section dedicated to these "timed" passes, 30 days is $10 and 60 days is $20. I smell a possibilty of MMOs coming over. May start with DQX. But it's interesting how it's open to publishers.

Score! Found a Wii U Pro Controller at Goodwill

I am so confused how this could happen. Who would turn in a Wii U controller so quickly to goodwill? I was thinking that maybe a parent got pissed off at their child and dumped their stuff off. LOL

It was still sealed and brand new!

Lucky!

Maybe the kid wanted a Classic Controller Pro and the parent thought that was it.

Probably another person who realized it wasn't compatible with Wii? Who knows? But congrats anyway. I'm still waiting on Walmart to ship mine!

Nintendo's Wii U Facebook Page just announced a Nintendo Direct for the US 9am PST. The focus will be Q1 Game Release Dates for Wii U and 3DS.

Pikmin 3 has already been confirmed as a Q1 release... It's Luigi we have to wonder about.
