Do you want Skyrim to come to Wii U?

I know Bethesda (Skyrim dev) has said in the past they wouldn't be against a Wii U version; although recently they were pretty against the process of porting games etc.

So I was wondering what everyone would think if it did come out for Wii U at some point- would you get it?

Personally I would love to play Skyrim- I never had a PS3 or Xbox so I never got a chance to play it, and also it looks to me that the Skyrim maps and menus would work much better with the gamepad controller.
What do you think?

There are 3 other platforms Skyrim is available on and they're buggy. I doubt Bethesda would take the time to make a Wii U port worthwhile. If they had in mind optimization, and thoughtful Wii U Pad functionality, then yes.

I have it already so I'd be indifferent. If Wii U does get a version I'll be surprised if it's developed in house. I'm sure they have their hands full with current Skyrim versions as well as development on Elder Scrolls VI.

Considering how bad the programmers at Bethesda are, I'd say no.

Their game got optimized on PC through fan mods for crying out loud, and the DLC still isn't out on PS3 because their programming skills are terrible at best.

But that being said, a GOTY Edition is probably going to happen for Wii U at some point down the line.

Not big on the Elder Scrolls games myself personally but it'd be nice to have more games from all types on board for those who want. Don't think Bethesda is competent at what they do though.

I recently got the game on the PC, but it'd be cool if a Wii U version happened. It could run the game at the same settings as the PC version at Ultra (I can only run medium right now, it still manages to look and run better than the current console versions, but my card is still low end so I can't run it at max), and the GamePad would act as a good way to access the Favorites menu more quickly, and a quick access for the Journal and a persistent map. Maybe they could also use it for things like puzzles, but we'd have to see. Obviously it would have Dawnguard and Heartfire included on the disc.

It's really have to depend, I'd probably end up staying with the PC version because of mods.

As much as I like the game in general, it's the little things that annoy me about the game that ruin the experience and I just don't see the game coming to the Wii U in any shape or form...because of Bethesda.

Honestly, if someone wanted it by now, they would have bought it on PC, 360, or PS3 already. Even if they didn't have either system, its been a good year so far and they have had time to save up money to buy it.

It wouldn't be a bad idea, although I'd want them to prioritise making a Wii U version of the game's currently non existant but likely sequel before porting over a game available on other consoles for a year or more.

You'd think, but there are people who were excited for Mass Effect 3 (before the DEBACLE) and Arkham City.

Most Nintendo fanboys want to play those games but claim to be "happy owning one console" and are like CAN'T JUST BUY ANOTHER SYSTEM, meanwhile, they own nearly the whole Wii and/or DS/3DS library (seriously, there are not 40 3DS games worth owning; You're just wasting money if you have that many). Either they don't actually want these games and just like to whine about it, or they are insane and can't comprehend that they've wasted thousands of dollars on the Wii when there is not thousands of dollars worth of GOOD content for it.

This is why I get mad every time someone whines when a game isn't on Wii (and not Wii U). Just buy another console. Those precious Wii games aren't going anywhere and they will still be $50 for you when you want to get them.

I would love Skyrim on Wii U and would play through it again. Do I have faith in Bethesda to pull it off? No.

Nope. I don't Bethesda to make a confident port of Skyrim on the Wii U. Quite honestly if the company itself wasn't competent enough to solve a lot of the nagging issues with the PS3 port then why would I trust them with a new piece of hardware?

•There is a minimal level of vulgar language
•Blood factor is reduced to the barest minimum
•The PEGI rating is 16 (as for the ESRB, they'll likely make it M, but my reason for purchase will be all the more justified if it was rated T)
My piece is said. However, one or more may not be possible (since they would want to keep new/existing fans happy), so I'd rather hold out for Bayonetta 2, Pokémon Wii U, Trauma Center Wii U or Monster Hunter Wii U.

I don't think Skyrim has too much in the way of Vulgar language. I know there are a few innuendos, (Lusty Argonian Maid anyone?) Violence can be a bit gruesome, but for the most part is tame compared to a lot of other games.

This game could really use the extra RAM that the Wii-U could afford. I have this on 360 and the loading times are painfully long and the menus are unresponsive and sluggish. I didn't realize how bad it was until I played Oblivion again and realized I didn't used to dread going into a building or opening up the inventory.
