Hey guys, with the release of AC3 today, im getting more excited to get it on Wii U in november. while looking around the internet, I stumbled upon something that got THAT much excited: playing in 3D with the Wii U on both tv screen AND Gampad screen. Check it out on this website: http://imgmr.com/index.php/wii-u/news/3 ... he-gamepad
That wouldn't be too hard to believe. Iwata has said in multiple interviews that the Wii U is capable of displaying 3D graphics, assuming one had a 3D T.V, but it isn't something they are focusing on or making developers use. However, this is the first I've heard of any game, even a launch game, for the Wii U making use of this 3D feature.
My 3DS friend list is so lonely.PM me for an exchange of friend codes if you have the same Dilemma
...What? Okay, I'm pretty sure that the Gamepad doesn't even support 3D, much less the Wii U. And wouldn't Nintendo mention it by now since this would be a good selling point? Plus, everything that Iwata has said so far would totally contradict his statements. I'm sure this is a huge misunderstanding and I'm sticking with it!
I came in here to call you stupid, but let's just look at this for a minute. It's been said in the past (by I forget who) that the Wii U can display 3D on 3D TV's in the same way that the PS3 does. I assumed that this wouldn't also be possible on the Gamepad, but the Wii U Gamepad can refresh at 60 fps, so in theory it could create a 30 fps 3d image if the user had the proper 3d glasses. Would it be a worth while thing to attempt? probably not, but it may be possible.
As far as the Wii U supporting 3D, why not? I'd be surprised if Nintendo didn't allow developers to have 3D modes for their games. As long as people have 3D TV's then they should have that option. As far as 3D on the actual gamepad itself goes, I doubt it. However, maybe 3D is another reason why the gamepad itself costs so much? If not glasses free 3D then maybe it supports passive 3D? I'm not sure, but I doubt Nintendo could keep this news from coming out for so long.
I believe Iwata said the Wii U CAN support 3D, but they're not focusing on it because 3D TVs aren't popular yet, which makes sense. I don't think he ever said it CAN'T support 3D. So who knows, it might support 3D (with glasses) after all?
If it supported 3D visuals (with glasses I guess) we would have known this for awhile now. All the technical specs of the system have been revealed, and I mean the ones that can be seen without tearing the console apart.
I honestly hope not. Even with 3DS, I play it with the 3D off unless it really requires me to use it. I just have never liked 3D, even in movies, it strains the eyes, and it doesn't really "add" anything to my experience. So I'm good.
Do a bit of net research and you'll find out it can show 3d on the gamepad...if you use the colored 3d glasses... not the modern 'shutter' style 3d. This isn't an amazing feature, as it works on any screen. It also does the modern setup on 3dtv's.
Question: I'm looking to get a 3D HDTV when I get a job and I wanted to know is Assassin's Creed 3 the only game that supports stereoscopic 3D? Do Black Ops 2 and Arkham City feature it as well? I know their PS3 counterparts do but I wanna know if the Wii U versions do as well.
*Ruff* Furealz's here.....ummm that Nintendo Land F-Zero Attraction looks 3-D when your mii character gets hit and flies outwards out-of the gamepad. I believe it's semi-3D! You gotta belieb in yourself!
