I suppose so if it's one of the internet. Also, Nintendo has shown the Wii U reading Manga at some event. If not now, then eventually.

That would be a big winner for the Wii U and Gamepad.

The cheapest eBook reader cost 80-200 bucks, I would say, that you can save that money, if Wii U can function as an PDF-Reader.

You would. Now if you could convert that PDF into something like a Google Doc, or some other format. Then you MAY be able to view it on Wii U. We just don't know what all the browser allows. Or rather I don't feel like going and finding all the stats and looking up what it allows.
