Wii games at 1080p

I personally wouldn't buy Wii re-released that were slightly upscaled (such as Sony has done, BTW, with many PS2 games).

However, I WOULD buy HD re-makes of, say, Mario 64, or older games like that, if Nintendo wanted to bother making them. I still say that I would have far rather had a full-on remake of M64 after being teased by that Galaxy 2 level, than having Galaxy 2, which to me was cool but felt unnecessary after how perfect Galaxy 1 was. Seeing that Mario 64 level, even in Wii graphics, looked fantastic. Those early polygon graphics don't hold up as well as sprites over time. I think that game really deserves a full remake treatment (And no, the DS game doesn't really count).

MEH, HD remasters cost too much is the problem. The last full on remake? RE1 for teh GCN. Beautiful, yes. But. It. Didn't. Do. As. Well.AS. Capcom.Would.hAVE.hoped.

The problem is the cost.

Started MPT on Wii U(via Wii Mode) and it looks much crisper. So crisp, I had to write it in bold. Go try your favorite Wii game on Wii U, videos on Youtube don't do Wii U up scaling justice.

I'm going to try to get it a Wii controller. I just wish the Wii U could play GCN games. I REALLY want to play Starfox Adventures in BEAUTIFUL 1080P (Upscaled:).

BUT I'm glad we get prime.

Did you use the Component cable for your Wii? I haven't tried any of my Wii discs yet but WiiWare still looks the same...

Yeah, upgrading from Composite to HDMI would probably be a tremendous upgrade to many.

I've tested it from Component to HDMI and yes, it is crisper too. The only bad side is that jaggies may show up easier but that is about it. Try high detailed games, Wiiware games don't do justice.
