you are already enrolled, because everything is tied to hardware(le sigh). so it knows ifyou have deluxe or not. also, it's not a reduction in purchase price, but a rewards program. you basically get 10% of the purchase price in "points" which you then can manage on a website (not live yet) to convert 500 points to 5$ eshop card numbers.

why is it that complicated? who friggen knows.

thanks for the responses. i decided to go retail since i found a deal(scribblenauts for 49.99 on amazon). but this will come in handy for the indy/eshop only games. if its anything like xbla, i should build up quite a few points.

also, since it sounds like we use our nintendo id to log into the wii shop channel, do those count too? might need to give that a try.

I've bought 2 games from the Eshop so far, but I don't see any credit yet. I have the deluxe system. Does it take some time to process?

You know why. It's the same reason Xbox was largely using Micro$oft points. To confuse the customer. See, when you get '10% of the purchase price in points' it sounds like you are getting 10% back if you don't read carefully. Really its only about $5 in value. It almost makes no sense to purchase, considering you can usually get the games on sale like with a b2g1 promo. Hopefully Nintendo has otherthings planned.....

yeah, but that applies to retail. this program is perfect for eshop games
