Why are the game deals posts big walls of text?

Hey, honest question: Why are the game deals posts always jumbled together into a big wall of text? It makes them REALLY hard to read and figure out what's actually on sale. Is there any way of changing the way these are posted?

Well I'd like to officially propose a movement to possibly consider thinking about starting a poll to maybe change the way they're posted.

I've already talked to him about it; I don't expect anything will change, unless you petition the source.

I wonder if GoNintendo could just partner with the guy and have a page dedicated to Nintendo game deals.

Not a bad idea, but I think the guy counts on daily front page publicity, and inserts his personal affiliate codes to every link; he must make some bank on it. If it was a separate page, he'd get a fraction of the views and click throughs.

Don't take this as fact, but I'm pretty sure when I originally checked it out, he farms some/all of this to other sites as well. I doubt he'd want to give up any other views from other sites just to get some exclusivity with us, and likely also have to share that reduced check with us on top of that.

Plus, I don't feel like bugging t27 to build another complex one-off feature just so a non staffer can publish to the site.

This is probably going to sound hilariously sleezy, but have you considered replacing his affiliate codes with the ones for the GoNintendo admins like yourself and RMC? Could cover the costs here quite a bit...

The thought crossed my mind; so I let rmc know way back when that the links aren't "clean", asking how he felt. His response was that if the guy was willing to go through all the work of tracking the deals, making a clickable list, organize it, and even do the HTML for us, he deserves whatever he gets out of it.

Fair enough I guess.

Honestly, the lists don't look clean, but if you scroll over them it highlights that link. At least it makes it readable this way. It would be cool if he listed them in a neater fashion, but I'm not going to complain about it.
