Wreck-It Ralph: Your thoughts

Well, Wreck-It Ralph is out now, what are your thoughts about it?

Personally, I loved it, it was the first movie that made go to the movie theater in a long time, and if I ever had a chance to play Fix-It Felix Jr., Hero's Duty and Sugar Rush, I would do it without hesitation.

EDIT: I also loved the Paperman short, I'd like to see Walt Disney Animation Studios making more with the similar art style.

I give it a 7.

My gripes (SPOILERS):

- It feels like Ralph should visit other worlds before heros duty.
- Didn't like how Felix and the citizens of Ralph's world didn't REALLY understood Ralph(resolution was nice though).
- Didn't like how Penelope now has glitch powers (it was Deus ex the moment she skipped all the viruses)..... Pretty much makes any hard work useless... At least it killed the bad guy.
- Shi++y Japanese song credits.

"Cute", as my sister would call it, and the animation was incredible. Very good short.

Wreck-It Ralph- 9.25/10
Outstanding through and through. The animation was very quirky and well done, the characters were, surprisingly, very relatable and not one-dimensional like most VG characters are, and the references are well done. However, the place where this movie truly shines is the story. It's originality is very good for a movie based off of video games, the emotional scenes had even myself start welling up, the humor is consistent, and the twist near the end is very well done. The only thing that could keep this movie from a perfect ten is the random toilet humor that Ralph and Venillope use throughout the movie.

Oh yeah, and dat "Or-e-o, yo-ho".

It's passable, I wish there would be more transitions between other games and worlds. Oh well, maybe in a sequel.

Great movie. I saw it twice. It would have been a lot better if Ralph visited other games. It was still good though. Also enjoyed Paper man.

I really enjoyed the movie. It had a great story, a lot of references and great animation. I can't wait for a sequel. I can't believe people hate the Sugar Rush song though? So it's that, and Wii U advertisement music ... what is next?

i was really looking for more active cameos but it was a great movie though, thats just my oppinion in the end the movie was about Ralph

Loved that movie when I saw it.

A majority of the jokes were well done in my opinion, the story was great, and Paperman showed me that Disney still got it when it comes to animation.

And if I may be so bold to say, Wreck it Ralph nailed it as a video game themed movie more than Scott Pilgrim ever did. As much as I loved that movie too, I just felt that Wreck it Ralph succeeded in the areas where Scott Pilgrim failed.

Looking forward to a sequel.

I loved the movie. I was a little caught off-guard that 90% of it was Sugar Rush (not an issue, but I didn't expect that).

I also loved Paper Man.

Easily one of my favorite films in a long while. Loved all the music too.

To be fair, Scott Pilgrim was *not* a video game movie and wasn't supposed to be. It had video game references, but that was only because it was based on a comic that had video game references and logic. It wasn't actually a video game themed movie, though, despite people taking it as such.

Though I agree about the glitch thing. That bothered my girlfriend too. It's not an ability when it's not "why would you play anyone other than Venelope?" unless all the other racers magically get powers now too. It's cheating.

It's not true to the fictional game in the movie. I believe they have a legit cabinet of Fix-it Felix Jr, they plays like one on the movie.

Anyway, I sincerely enjoyed the movie. The most fun I had was catching all the cameos. I'm surprised there were no references to Tron or Kingdom Hearts.

Funny note:

I watched the movie again; this time with my cousins. I shouted, "Isn't that cheating?!" in the theater, during the ending. Everyone inside laughed and wondered who said that.

It's not out here yet (gets here in February), but it looks amazing and I'm really looking forwards to it!
