While I agree it is missing a lot of games, I have to call you out on the last part.
You know why the lists are exempt of Nintendo titles?
What freaking Nintendo titles came out this year that would be worth putting on there?
Did you honestly see a GOTY Nintendo title this year? And I'm not counting Xenoblade (they didn't bring out The Last Story, XSEED did) since it's actually a 3 year old game. What games came out that you think deserve to be in all these categories you didn't name? Mario Party 9? Some ports (Kirby/Pikmin)? A few good DS/3DS games?
Nintendo didn't do a whole lot of anything this year that deserves awards aside from bringing Xenoblade over finally.
I said they didn't have many titles that were released on Nintendo systems in categories where they were very relevant.
Best handheld game? They put one 3DS title up against 3 Vita titles. And that title was, you guessed it, NSMB2, pitting it up against Gravity Rush, Sound Shapes, and LittleBigPlanet Vita whilst passing up everything else that was offered on the 3DS from Kid Icarus: Uprising to Resident Evil: Revelations. Best original score? Xenoblade Chronicles didn't even make the list, but CoDBLoPs2, Journey (that really overrated PSN game...wasn't even aware it had music to be honest.) and Max Payne 3 made it.
I'm just saying in general, the whole thing seems a little one-sided and just poor choices in quite a few categories. Like Mass Effect 3 for best RPG. I always thought that game was a TPS with RPG elements...like The Legend of Zelda is an action/adventure title with RPG elements.
As for the on-topic vote, they're passing up quite a few amazing titles that've been released in the past decade, and really need to just make the voting area...larger, ya know? Just make the list longer and add more choices. They're passing up some rather amazing titles in one area or another.
Things and stuff and stuff and things with the ideas and the processes and the continuities and bahrlahrhargrghvhrgh.
