That was pretty much my biggest complaint, that and the crashes that have also stopped. So i'm pretty happy about this

I think some people had longer load times then others, like my system never had long load times, it may have fixed the ones who had it. Kinda like some people had the hard freeze issue and others didnt.

I'm not personally experiencing shorter load times. Things seem about the same as they were. :S

Haven't gone into Nintendo Land to see if things have stopped crashing. Hopefully this has helped with that.

It depends why it's slow.
If it's slow because of hardware, then you're pretty much out of luck.
If it's slow because the OS and software isn't efficient. Then you can fix that mostly.

Loading times are still 15-20 seconds after the update. Maybe 2-3 Venusian seconds, but not Earth seconds. :-/

Sorry guys, this update DOES NOT fix the loading times. Hopefully it does fix the hard locks which we will have to wait and see. The only other thing I notice is that the Fifa 13 demo is up. So hopefully with tomorrows Nintendo Direct we will get some other demo since I already have the actual game.

Loading times are still 15-20 seconds after the update. Maybe 2-3 Venusian seconds, but not Earth seconds. :-/

let me clarify that eShop, Miiverse, and Internet Browser are loading at around (not)2-3 secs, if you are talking about game load times then it's around 15-20 secs.(it's not going magically decrease unless disc read speed is increased through a firmware update)


edit: after testing several times: eShop loads @ around 8-10 secs closes in 2-3 secs, Miiverse 7-9 secs closes in 2-3 secs, Internet Browser 5-6 secs closes in 2-3 secs. these are the only ones that improved in load times and closing times everything else are (still) on par with 15-20 secs.

Settings menu, eShop and the main Wii U menu took about 15-20 seconds to load post-update. I haven't even tried a game yet.

I'm definitely seeing faster loads on some apps. Very cool. Now I need to test NintendoLand to see if the freezing issue has been resolved.
