Something is up with the Mother series

Coming from Shigesato Itoi...

Since it’s now okay to blurt this out, here goes: the “MOTHER republication” thing I mentioned briefly before is making progress. It’s not “(MOTHER) 4″, though! This has to do with making “MOTHER” playable. I can’t give out any details just yet, but I do at least need to say that it isn’t 4.

Well now...talk about an interesting turn of events! Something is up with the franchise, but what could it be?

Remakes perhaps? In fact, they should do an HD remake of the trilogy. Meanwhile in the Wayforward hideout, they will be playing it and think "why dont we do this with Shantae's trilogy?" Brilliant!!

If he is telling the truth though, I hope they remake them and release them as a trilogy. I've never played the games before and would like to.

MOTHER 1, 2 + 3D would sound really nice.
What ever it is, i hope it will get in Europe the name MOTHER.
Sorry but i doesn't really like the name EarthBound...

But anyway, i hope that this time we will get a global release in all Nintendo Regions!

3DS remakes would be delicious. And its about time, ive wanted to dip into the series for a while now but ive yet to get a chance to with actual carts and whatnot.

Could... could it be? Being able to play Mother 3 legally in glorious English could come true?

In all honesty it's probably the Mother trilogy coming to Japanese Virtual Console, I mean they haven't even got it yet and it used to be a really popular franchise there. Don't mind me just eating 5,000 grains of salt on my life noodles so I don't get disappointed again.
