I too will never forget my first time with SM64. It was amazing to behold, pretty much 3D gaming perfection that I had been salivating over for years. I'm so lucky and happy I was born in the 80s. Going from the first SMB to SM64 was an incredible journey. This is not hyperbole. Like the guy writes in the OP, those feelings will never be had again.
