Junichi Masuda hypes up today's Pokemon announcement

Coming from Masuda's blog...

At last! The time has come.
On Tuesday, 8th of January. At 8.00pm of Japan time,
we will announce some Pokémon news to everyone!!
I would like everyone to check it out!
I would like everyone to share this moment with
your family, love ones, friends and colleagues!!
Of course, everyone who love Pokémon,
but those who don’t know Pokémon yet are also welcome to join us!
I want everybody to check this info, therefore
please spread and share this information at office,
school, club activities, any circle!!
I would like everyone to share and spread this news widely!
In Japan You can check official Pokémon website at 8:00PM on January the 8th.
For the exact time of the announcement in your time zone, please check the official Nintendo website.

"We are happy to announce that in the month of Feburary, games will be able to download the original pokemon Red and Blue from the Nintendo eshop on you Nintendo 3DS, and pokemon stadium releasing in march for the Nntendo Wii and Wii U with wireless connectivity!"

This, but make them transferable with upcoming gen 6 and gen 5 games and instead of Old Pokemon Stadium games how about a new one for Wii U or 3DS! =D I'd get in on this.

Did anyone else read that and think to themself, what so called gamer doesnt know about Pokemon?!

Also, hoping this is either a new Pokemon 3ds game, R/S 3DS or VC release of the first 2 generations( Since my games all stopped working).

If this is not a fully-fledged 3DS Pokemon game (a remake would be ok I guess) they will have officially overhyped this announcement. But something is telling me that it will be more about us (pretty much every country and NOT Japan) will be freaking out how awesome the new game will be and how Japan will get it 8+ months first.

Is it already time for a Pokemon Stadium/Colosseum/Battle Revolution type of game that connects the handheld system to the home console to come out for Wii U? I'd say yes, and I'd like to see something more than just gym battling. I want to see a Monster Hunter style open world of exploration with or without a friend to co-op with.

Well, I guess they have kind of moved on to the WiiU is doomed the last couple months. I still hear quite a bit about how 3DS is not selling well with no mention of how the Vita is selling from analysts and the like. But, I have believed all along a new Pokemon for 3DS is just what it needs to put all that to rest. Even though with some I don't think it will ever be put to rest, look how many people still believe the Wii was a complete failure for Nintendo. And coming off having the biggest selling console and handheld of the last generation there are still calls for Nintendo to go third party.
