LAS VEGAS – January 8, 2011 – Nyko Technologies®, the leading videogame peripherals manufacturer, today unveiled its full lineup of new products to be showcased at the Consumer Electronics Show 2013 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Nyko will showcase their entire Wii U product line-up, including two newly announced products in the
Charge Station U and the Pro Commander. CES attendees will also be able to go hands on with Nyko's recently announced accessories, including the UBoost, Charge Base Pro and more. The following products will be making their public debut at the show:

Charge Station U

The successor to the #1 selling Charge Station for Wii, the Charge Station U stores and charges 1 Wii U GamePad and 2 Wii Remotes and includes 2 NiMH rechargeable batteries and rubberized battery covers for the remotes. The Charge Station U utilizes an easy drop and charge system that allows you to conveniently charge your controllers while you store them so you always have full power each and every time you game. The station comes with its own AC power supply, so it I can rapidly charge all 3 controllers simultaneously. The GamePad cradle portion of the dock is also equipped with adjustable viewing angles making it perfect for watching video content while you recharge your controllers. The Charge Station U will be available in February for a MSRP of
$34.99, in both white and black.

Pro Commander

Take command of your favorite Wii U games with the Pro Commander, a Pro Controller alternative featuring traditional analog stick placement. The Pro Commander wirelessly connects to the Wii U and works with any game compatible with the Nintendo Pro Controller. The analog stick layout of the Pro Commander is akin to other popular controllers, putting the action face buttons right under the thumb while featuring fully
depressible trigger buttons. The Pro Commander will be available in both white and black for a MSRP of $34.99 in February.

Nyko will also be providing hands on demonstrations of the rest of their recently announced Wii U line up including:

UBoost

This clip on battery pack adds double the battery capacity to the Wii U GamePad in a sleek attachment that can also act as a multimedia viewing stand.

Charge Base Pro

Easily store and charge 2 Wii U Pro Controllers utilizing Nyko's patented charging dongle design. The dongles attach to the controller, and allow each controller to be magnetically held by the vertical charging base while artfully suspended while charging.

Power Stand

Conveniently charge the Wii U GamePad in this sleek stand using the existing GamePad AC power cord that ships with the Wii U.

All of Nyko Wii U products will be hitting retailers nationwide this February.

"Nyko is excited to bring our expertise in accessories in the controller, battery and charging categories to the Wii U at the 2013 CES" said Chris Arbogast, director of marketing at Nyko Technologies. "We are pleased to showcase such a diverse lineup for the initial offering of the next generation of consoles."

I have no problem if people like to have placement similar to other controls and thus use this. My problem is with people who felt Nintendo made a horrific mistake with their controller layout. Having played multiplats like AC III, Sonic Racing and Tekken I've had no problems. What REALLY annoys me are those who get angry at the button placement saying it isn't "standard". Its the SNES layout as well as the DS and classic controller layout. Its no problem if you've played a Nintendo system regularly in the past six years .

I'm am interested in Uboost, I rather have an third-party battery be external than internal.

That controller looks really angular and uncomfortable.... I hope Madcatz comes out with a better one.

@Gold_Ultima

Madcatz does have a Wii U controller (with staggered sticks) that was announced last summer. However, that was the last I heard of it and can't find it sold anywhere. So I take it that it hasn't been released yet, which is too bad after all this time since it was announced.

As for Nyko's controller, I'm ok with it. However, there is no mention whether or not this controller has a headphone port, which the standard Wii U Pro controller doesn't have. If it doesn't, this makes me wander if the Wii U was only designed to support chat strictly from the Gamepad.

Can someone explain to me why the are releasing what is essentially a 360 controller for the Wii U? I can get over the sticks, but the button letter changes infuriates me for some reason.

Wait, are the shoulder buttons analog? If so, that could be good for games.

They wont do anything if the games themselves dont support the analog feature. Which they probably wouldnt, since very few people would buy the particular third party controller.
