You guys, he isn't saying video games are to blame for violence. He simply says "kids probably shouldn't play these games because they are violent." Which, honestly, is probably true! I wouldn't let my daughter play call of duty when I still consider her a kid. Once she is mature enough to understand things better, then sure. we can watch friday the 13th together and co-op through Call of Duty: More Modern Warfare 12. If you really listen to what he says, he says the real blame is with parenting and mental health help.

No, we just pretended to chop each other with tomahawks. Shoot each other with pistols, rifles, and arrows. Scalp each other, rob each other, and hang each other.

why not, a study shows the following:
tertainment. These effects take several forms.
Children who see a lot of violence are more likely to view violence as an effective way of settling conflicts. Children exposed to violence are more likely to assume that acts of violence are acceptable behavior.
Viewing violence can lead to emotional desensitization towards violence in real life. It can decrease the likelihood that one will take action on behalf of a victim when violence occurs.
Entertainment violence feeds a perception that the world is a violent and mean place. Viewing violence increases fear of becoming a victim of violence, with a resultant increase in self-protective behaviors and a mistrust of others.
Viewing violence may lead to real life violence. Children exposed to violent programming at a young age have a higher tendency for violent and aggressive behavior later in life than children who are not so exposed.

He could be right but I don't blame the games more the parents that let there children access them. you know like them little kids that act all big and bad on call of duty... you know who I am talking about! lol

I personally never would relate real life violence to first-person shooters, despite the fact that I dislike pretty much every first person shooter, exceptions being ones that are not rated M.

Rather the blame in some cases should go towards direction of letting kids shoot guns for fun. I don't know about you, but if someone can't drink until they're 21 why is it okay for children to use highly lethal weapons? Shouldn't we prevent kids from being able to use these weapons before we even mention violent video games?
