Fuzzy Wuzzy Games bringing Armillo to Wii U eShop

Postby LegendofSantiago » 17 Jan 2013 21:08

The game is looking good. Things to note: The game is going to be remade on a new engine(from XNA to UNITY), and it's probably going to change slightly art style wise. The gameplay looks fun for now, check it out guys

Solely based on that dev blog video with a little bit of gameplay, I am buying this game, I have to support the Indie devs who are that thankful to Nintendo.

I want Nintendo to do a lot more with eshop and that story is a nice one

Oh my god, say what you will about Emily, but damn that woman works hard. I honestly think Nintendo should hire her to specifically find eShop titles.

as long as it's not another game that requires you to use the accelerometer as the only control method, it looks fun. i really like the music, too.

beyond the basic gameplay and goals, i hope they will give it layered gameplay with tertiary goals such as several hidden items and locations to find in each level, rewards for finding all hidden items in each level and fully mapping or exploring each level, etc. and some kind of collectible or earned currency that you can save up and redeem for upgrades, cheats, tweaks, and other goodies of your choice. the thing that makes many games so fun in the long term is the sense that every minute of your play and every replay after you fail is still worthwhile and is helping you to move towards multiple levels of goals that you can choose yourself. without that kind of refinement, this might end up being a another title that has some initial eshop success but never really takes off because people stop playing it when it gets frustrating or repetitive and then never pick it up again.

@MisterOpinionHead

Wouldn't want a game creator to guide us toward their vision, would we? Sometimes stuff just isn't trying to tailor to everyone.
