I agree with this post but if it's just an updated wii with HD graphics 200 to 250 maybe 300 but that's pushing it

$299 seems quite reasonable. I expect the Wii U to sell somewhere between $250 and $300, though realistically I think it will be somewhere in the middle, like $279.99 or something. Nintendo has always been about affordability, so I'll trust them on the price (even the 3DS, though priced high for many, was to me perfectly fine at $250).

I would be fine with $300 or less. I doubt it would be much more, Nintendo usually tries to sell their systems as cheap as possible. I guess the main issue is going to be how much it will cost them to make the controller, since they also usually sell at a profit.

monoprice.com and nintendo should ship the unit with an hdmi cable, if they ship their hd system with composite cables, I might burn something down.and it doesn't matter what the connectors are made of as long as the signal gets across. a 1 and 0 are 1s and 0s all day long.

that said, if there is a couple quality titles that I want out on launch day ("launch window" can bugger itself with a rusty spade), then I'll pay up 300$ for it. if it is, however, a glorified 360 with a bunch of casual tech demos and shovelware on day one, then I'll pay 0$ for it and wait until the price drops or good software is out.

If you can't shop online that might make things a bit trickier, but with a little digging you should be able to find some in a computer hardware or discount electronics store. I could give you a few examples if you lived in Canada, such as CanadaComputers, NCIX, TigerDirect.ca, FactoryDirect, but I'm not really familiar with the US.

I was at Biglots today and saw some 6" HDMI cables for I think $14 and some 12" for either $17 or $19. I still might use my points for one at Gamestop since i have plenty and i might not have enough for the $50 off coupon. I have more than enough for the $25 off and HDMI cable. I plan to use the $25 off for Wii U. I got 35348 points so far. 50000 for $50 off. close. I only need one more HDMI cable.

I've got around six HDMI cables just laying around waiting to be used, and a couple more hooked up to my devices. And altogether they couldn't have cost me more than $30. And they all work great.

As long as i buy something within a year they stay. no resetting every year or two. I think i saw a three pack for $25. I was trying to see if it was three separate cables or one that can connect 3 devices. Probably 3 separate. I'll look for some cheap cables but i want gold connectors.
