Just look at how much RTT News gets wrong with a single statement.

This Sunday, Nintendo will launch its Wii U, a hand held console that can be used independently and along with the company's Wii gaming platform.

Man, that's one hell of a rough sentence. Just imagine what the average consumer is going to think of the Wii U! Thanks to EyezofNight for the heads up.

WiiU is going to be even better than my Nintendo 64, which plugs into my belly button and plays directly into my eyes.

;) Google own YouTube, so the YouTube app was developed by Google. They still didn't phrase it very clearly, not mentioning YouTube at all, but they're technically correct to say "Google rolled out a new Wii application".

Also: "The Wii did not share the powerful success of its rivals" I don't even.

I am really surprised they haven't rebranded it GoogTube or something yet.

Also according to the article, Wii never achieved the success of the X-Box 360 or PS3. I guess, if outselling both of them isn't considered as successful.

An MTV article yesterday stated you can watch TV and movies on the Gamepad.

Wish that were true...

That these morons get it wrong is one thing, but when the GAMING MEDIA thought the WiiU was an extra controller for the Wii is truly beyond unprofessional. Before E3 2011 Nintendo themselves SAID it was a NEW CONSOLE! And then we saw the garden demo and the Zelda demo. Now that was a sad day for the gaming media!

I'm going to keep it G- this person should lose their job. These journalists/news folks are NOT supposed to be the average consumer. It's their job to get the facts and be knowledgeable on what they are talking about. It's really really sad how journalism has taken a hit in credibility and the amount of errors is really outstanding.

Is it really easy to get into journalism? Because I think I'd do a better job than a whole slew who went to school for such a thing. Maybe I'll be one of the leads.

Well at least they pulled the article and recognised it was full of crap. Unlike that Engadget "digital triggers are bad for FPS" rubbish.
PM me and I'll add you to my 3DS - feel free to add my NNID for WiiU too!

It seems kinda unprofessional for them to completely remove the article rather than openly admit they messed up and update it.

I'm talking about watching it ON the Gamepad. Like, with the TV off or on another channel.

Have you seen it demonstrated in any ad or any any walkthrough or teaser for TVii or stated anywhere that you can watch anything on the Gamepad? I haven't.

Here's what Nintendo.com has to say:

Nintendo TVii enables you to find, watch, and engage with TV shows, movies and sports programming in entirely new ways. Using the Wii U GamePad, you can browse and search for programming from sources you subscribe to, including cable and satellite channels, video-on-demand services, and even recorded TiVo shows.

Once you find something to watch, you can use the GamePad to start the program or set a DVR recording. While watching live TV, you can also use the GamePad to engage and share your experience with family or friends.

This was shown through leaked images and press releases. You can watch programs on both the TV and the gamepad.
