Gust details the new story content in Atelier Marie Remake: The Alchemist Of Salburg
Something old, something new
Atelier Marie: The Alchemist Of Salburg originally saw release on the PlayStation all the way back in 1997. Now, 26 years later, fans are going to get to experience that debut title in an all-new way with Atelier Marie Remake: The Alchemist Of Salburg.
While Atelier Marie Remake: The Alchemist Of Salburg includes all of the content found in the original 1997 release, there’s plenty that has been reworked, revamped, and changed. That obviously includes 2D visuals getting a 3D overhaul, but it turns out there will be some fresh story content as well.
In an interview with Nintendo Life, the head of Gust, Junzo Hosoi, has shared some information on the brand-new story content the game has to offer.
On top of the original scenario, an amount roughly equivalent to 30-40% of the original story is additional scenarios. The content includes being able to learn new aspects of the characters and the teachers’ feedback on Marie’s work. The purpose of the additions is to increase the depictions of the characters and to increase immersion in the world. There are no deleted scenarios, but we have adjusted some of the expressions that do not fit modern values.
