Sea of Stars launched across all platforms, Switch included, as of today. The game hasn’t even been available to purchase for 24 hours, but Sabotage Studio has announced that they’ve already hit a considerable sales milestone.

In less than one day, Sea of Stars has managed to amass 100K, units sold. Sabotage Studios was clear in saying the game sold 100k copies instead of saying 100k people played the game. Since Sea of Stars is available on services like Game Pass, people who download/play the game through those subscriptions don’t actually count as a purchase. This means a combined total of 100k people across all platforms were more than happy to offer up their hard-earned cash.

Sea of Stars tells the story of two Children of the Solstice who combine the powers of the sun and moon to perform Eclipse Magic, the only force capable of fighting off the monstrous creations of an evil alchemist known as The Fleshmancer.

Happy to hear that. I was worried about its sales potential considering it's "free" on Day 1 on both Xbox (and PC?) AND Playstation's version of Game Pass. Given that, it's not hard to imagine the vast majority of those sales come from the Switch version.

@ninjablaze

Should do even better once the physical copy is available. I’m tempted to wait!

I downloaded the PS version, and plan to give it a go. Everything I hear about it is really good.
