Whenever Nintendo has new hardware in the works, the rumor mill goes into overdrive. Things get crazy fast, and it’s hard to keep up with everything that’s floating around. That’s certainly been the case in the last few weeks, with big names and publications staking their claims on Nintendo’s next hardware and more. Today that deluge continues with yet more rumors of things to come.

Just last week, Brazilian games journalist Pedro Henrique Lutti Lippe started a firestorm by saying Nintendo had told publishers they were moving the planned Q4 2024 launch of the Switch’s successor to March 2025 at the earliest. That info was then corroborated by a number of other insiders, but of course, Nintendo declined to comment. Following that rumor onslaught, the same Brazilian journalist is back with more info.

According to Lippe, Nintendo fans have a lot to look forward to in the coming months. Based on the info they’ve heard from inside sources, Nintendo faithful can expect an Indie World Showcase sometime in March, followed by a Nintendo Direct in April. As for that Direct, it’s unclear if it’ll be a full-fat version or a mini. After that comes the whopper; a Switch successor reveal in June.

Lippe points out that things can always change, but their sources claim this is the plan for Nintendo as of right now. Looks like the months ahead could be extremely exciting!

Believe me! This is the plan!
Just wait and see that I'm right!

But it might change, so if it turns out different later on, just know it's was true when I told you about it!

The image for this story is appropriately vague, disorienting, and chaotic

Haha, I like how you did that; it encapsulates the vibe that these rumors give off.

We must always be vigilant in our defense against double-speak like this. It's very prevalent.
