You probably think you know all there is about Pokémon Red and Blue by this point. I mean, both games are 26 years old by now. Surely there’s nothing left in the games to be discovered? You might be right about that, but chances are a few of you will have your minds blown by this reveal.

Over on Reddit, a Pokemon Red/Blue thread is blowing up thanks to a very simple discovery. Redditor Jedi_Lucky shared a tip for the game that he’s only just discovered now, and it appears many others didn’t know either.

Long story short, if you press the select button during battles, you can reorder a Pokémon’s moves between slots. This might not be anything special for some players, but others would certainly find this tip useful.

Is this something you’ve known about for decades now, or is it just being brought to your attention today?

Huh, didn't know this was not common knowledge. Don't rememeber annymore how I found out but I did this back in the day.

I feel like I had read this somewhere when the game came out, or heard about it from a friend, so I also assumed it was just something that wasn’t much of a secret. However, that doesn’t stop it from being cool or exciting for anyone that didn’t know about it!

I always needed to order them shortest to longest attack

At risk of sounding like one of those people, I’m pretty sure I did know this. At least that you could reorder the moves, I’m hazy on if it was while battling or not

My people. This is the way

I had legitimately never, ever heard about this. Just asked my girlfriend and she's always known. I almost feel betrayed.

Holy shovel. Had I known this I would have loved it, I'm pedantic and all that.
