Digital Foundry has released their latest tech analysis review video, this time taking a look at the latest entry in the Fire Emblem series, Fire Emblem Engage. The 12-minute video goes over plenty of technical details such as resolution, framerate, textures, and development tactics, and also puts it head-to-head against its predecessor, Fire Emblem Three Houses. The reports on how things turned out are very positive, with Digital Foundry saying “Intelligent Systems continues to deliver highly impressive gameplay, this time backed by big improvements to the series’ core technology.”

Fire Emblem Engage launches for Nintendo Switch on Jan. 20, 2023.

I would hope the game is an improvement over Three Houses. It definitely is in the art style department.

I'm a little surprised that he didn't mention that Three Houses was developed by Koei Tecmo, while Engage is developed in-house at Intelligent Systems. That's the biggest reason why Engage looks so much better.
