J: What’s the biggest challenge you see facing the industry?

AE: Growing up. The industry is already ‘growing up’ – the sense I think of is things like being content to have its own visual, critical, interactive language that isn’t just a reference of other media; or of not being embarrassed to take itself seriously; or not just pandering to a narrow audience. All of these things are challenges that seem –wonderfully – to be progressing along beautifully.

What exactly is Monster Hunter Tri University (MHTU)? It’s a night to come learn about and practice the skills you need to slay the monsters of Tri! This is an opportunity to get your first glimpse of Monster Hunter Tri on the Wii. Monster Hunter Tri professors will help guide you through a new demo of the game. Our professors are some of the best Monster Hunters on the planet and are ready to school you on the subject as we want to make sure you pass your final exam and finish the game. Producer on Monster Hunter, Ryozo Tsujimoto, will be doing demonstrations and helping you further your skill in slaying monsters!

How in the hell did The Running Man not get a game deal? It’s absolutely perfect for the world of video games. I think a dev should snatch this license up now, and go all out on it. It doesn’t even need Arnold in it. We could have another character re-entering the game show idea in the future. Just make it happen, damnit!

- if Chomp takes a lot of damage, he must go back to the bottom screen and rest
- items can be tossed down to Chomp to help with the evolution process

- Ellie finds Chomp when she mistakenly enters the Monster World
- Ellie and Chomp work together to save the Monster Kingdoms from the evil kings of the realm
- each Monster Kingdom is ruled by a human king with their pet monster

- give your monster food, toys, equipment, and items to change it

- devs looking to release it in second quarter 2010

Kaiju Busters certainly seems like a fun game. It’s almost like the DS’ version of the Monster Hunter series, at least when you look at the trailers and read info on the game. I was actually pretty interested in this title that has almost no shot at getting localized. Too bad that first buzz from hands-on time is leading many to believe that the game isn’t even worth talking about.

If you’re an RPG fan, this is one title that you absolutely must own in some shape or form. It’s one of the absolute pinnacles of 16-bit era gaming and a testament to how truly remarkable a system the Super Nintendo console turned out to be for RPG fans.

Out of This World is one of my favorite titles of all-time. I played the SNES version back in the day, but have since played the PC and SEGA CD versions as well. Now for those of you that have never played the game before, you can check out a demo of the title that is playable right in your browser. Hopefully this brief taste will be enough to make you hunt down the actual title.
