GoNintendo 'End of Day' thought - Check out Summer Games Done Quick

Back to the work week, my friends. Hope you all had a lovely weekend. I certainly did, hanging with friends and family. Can't complain about that! Now let's get this damn week out of the way and do it all over again! See you in a few, short hours.

The entire 'Games Done Quick' live stream charity event is mind-boggling. If you've never checked it out, you absolutely have to. I can't think of any other event where such a varied group of people came together to show off their extreme talents, all in the name of helping out charity. I can't express how truly interesting I find these events, or how fantastic I think it is that people donate their time and skills to help others around the world.

I didn't get into the Games Done Quick scene until a couple years back, but I was completely hooked once I did. The things these gamers pull off in their speed-runs is unbelievable. We're talking about top-level play, pixel-perfect movements and all sorts of glitches and skips that seem impossible at first. Seeing people blow through games in minutes that take 60+ hours to beat normally just never gets old.

Like I said, the best part is that all this is in the name of charity. This time around, the entire gang is working to help out Doctors Without Borders. Certainly a worthy cause, and one that the team has played for before. After just one day, the live-stream charity event has already pulled in over $219k, which is a huge amount! I don't know what's better...the people playing these games for charity, or the viewers forking over hard-earned cash to help people the world over.

So yeah...hit up the stream and check it out. We've put it after the jump due to autoplay. Even if you don't donate, I guarantee you'll see some footage that'll keep you watching long into the night.
