GN Version 5.0

“505 Games! When will you bring Terraria to the Wii U and 3DS?” We get asked this question a lot, and we’re super stoked to finally answer. Terraria will launch in early 2016 for the Wii U and 3DS! The savviest of Terrarians may have picked up on some hints leading up to today, and the teams at both Re-Logic and 505 Games are excited to finally share details.

Both the 3DS and Wii U versions will feature intuitive touchscreen controls, allowing Terrarians to reach directly into the world for the very first time to fashion elaborate structures and fight off enemies with fingertip & stylus control.

Take your adventures to new heights with local and online multiplayer, allowing 4-8 players to journey together into fantastical new worlds. The 3DS version offers local WiFi play supported for up to 4 friends, while the Wii U takes that even further, with up to 8-player online multiplayer or 4-player splitscreen using classic Wii Remotes.

If you can’t wait till 2016 and are headed to Gamescom in August, stop by the Nintendo booth to get hands-on time with Terraria on 3DS! With over 1,300 crafting recipes, 150 enemies and 15 bosses to battle, Terraria gives players endless hours of fun as they dig to the ends of the earth. We can’t wait to see what Nintendo players dig up!

You can stay up to date on all things Terraria via the official forums, and be sure to follow Terraria on Facebook and Twitter for even more details in the months to come.
