Super Mario Maker's latest update includes a unique change to the P-Switch

GN Version 5.0

You might know the P-Switch for its ability to change coins into blocks and vice-versa. That's indeed the normal method of use, but there's another another element that creators of really tough Super Mario Maker stages love. You can actually use the P-Switch as a platform, allowing Mario to get another jump if timed just right.

Believe it or not, the most recent update for Super Mario Maker has changed the hit box for the P-Switch. You can still use the P-Switch to get a jump off of, but now the hit box is even tinier, making the jump that much harder. Levels created before the update have the old-style hit box, while levels created after the update will have the more challenging hit box.
