Competitive Smash scene in Spain looks to ban Bayonetta from tournament play

I like to play Smash Bros. for fun with friends. We certainly get into serious battles, but nothing like the tournament scene. That's some high-level play with a lot on the line. That also means the game is scrutinized in ways that I would never dream of. That scrutiny is leading the competitive scene in Spain to ban Bayonetta.

Those involved with the tournaments feel that Bayonetta is just overpowered and unfair when compared to other characters. There's no definitive answer here and the argument will certainly rage on, but it seems like the majority of tournament players in Spain feel that Bayonetta is unfair, if not broken. This is causing her removal from the tournament setting, forcing players that chose her to pick another character.
