Passwords could make a return in Dragon Quest XI

Remember when video games didn't have the ability to save your progress? You had to write down a password that would unlock your progress when you returned to a game later. We've since moved on from passwords thanks to carts that save games and storage space on platforms, but Dragon Quest series creator Yuji Horii would like to see passwords return. Believe it or not, Horii stated that he really wants passwords to be a part of Dragon Quest XI. He didn't specify how he wanted them use, but don't worry, these passwords would only be in conjunction with traditional save methods.
