Pokemon GO will eventually have some functionality with Pokemon Sun/Moon
Looks like something we all expected to happen is now confirmed. The devs behind Pokemon GO have stated that the initial focus if for GO players to get out there and experience the game on its own, but there are indeed plans to add in some sort of interactions with Pokemon Sun/Moon. Details on that will come at a later date.
