12th July, 2016 – Budding Pokémon Trainers anticipating Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon have a great opportunity to discover the origins of the series for less from this Thursday, with a sale on Nintendo eShop on Nintendo 3DS family systems.

From the 14th July until the 28th July*, players will be able to discover – or rediscover – the beginnings of the series in their quest to catch the Pokémon from the Kanto region, as Virtual Console titles Pokémon Red Version, Pokémon Blue Version, and Pokémon Yellow Version: Special Pikachu Edition will all be available on Nintendo eShop on Nintendo 3DS family systems at a 30% discount for just £6.29 / €6.99.

After a future update, players will be able to use Pokémon Bank to transfer Pokémon they’ve caught in the Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console versions of Pokémon Red, Pokémon Blue, and Pokémon Yellow into their copy of Pokémon Sun or Pokémon Moon.
