Had a good night off. Caught some new Pokemon, so I certainly can't complain about that! Also hung out with a friend, which is always a lovely way to spend time off. All in all, a great Wednesday! I hope yours was great as well. See you all in a few, short hours.

Pokemon GO is unlike anything I've ever seen, as far as the public reaction goes. Now the Wii was indeed a cultural phenomenon and it was everywhere. People that never played games before were picking up the system and putting it front-and-center in their living room. It's reach was extremely wide and marks a watershed moment in the industry. With all that said, it seems like Pokemon GO has the ability to go even wider and reach people in very different ways.

I have posted so many stories here on GoNintendo about the unique ways that Pokemon GO has changed our lives. People are going outside and getting exercise. People are making new friends with strangers. Businesses left and right are benefiting from Pokemon GO. Young and old alike are coming together to enjoy some pure fun in a time when the world is looking rougher than ever. It's the type of thing that seems to have hit at precisely the right moment.

I have experienced this craze myself in a number of ways. Our quiet neck of the woods is overrun with people playing the game. I have been in our local town, which is jam-packed with businesses putting out lures and tons of people walking around town catching Pokemon. You hear kids shouting out about it, see adults laughing as they wander around to hunt down a new Pokemon for their collection. It's absolutely surreal to see so many people around the world brought together by a game like this. It gives me such an amazing smile and a wonderfully warm feeling.

What has your personal experience with Pokemon GO been like? How has the game impacted you, your family and friends and your daily routine? Leave a comment and let us know!
