Please be careful with what you do on Animal Crossing: New Leaf after you grab the Welcome amiibo update. Some people are accidentally deleting their towns because they're trying to get Tom Nook to appraise it. It turns out Tom Nook will indeed appraise your town and give you bells for it. The thing is, Nook doesn't always appraise a town and Isabelle's dialog is nearly identical whether Nook visits or not. So that means some people are trying to get an appraisal, but accidentally sell their town instead.
