Nintendo declares ending of Wii U bundles in Japan

The Japanese Nintendo website has confirmed that the final two Wii U versions in circulation are ending its production. The white premium and special Splatoon bundles have now the words ''production is scheduled to end soon within Japan'' beneath it. What does that exactly mean? Nintendo is not planning to make anymore of the console figurations currently available. This leaves the Wii U's fate in jeopardy.

This is line with what Eurogamer has reported on before, despite a NCL spokesperson denying it. Their report claimed that the Wii U production line would be closing this month, which seems to be extremely likely now. Nintendo is perhaps clearing the road for Nintendo Switch and the current slate of Nintendo 3DS software.
