1. A High-Profile Debut

You can’t ask for better exposure than being featured at Apple’s press events. Many publishers covet the opportunity to be given visibility at the event — even if it’s just their icon on the iPhone home screen.

Nintendo went a step further, and had Creative Fellow Shigeru Miyamoto appear alongside Apple CEO Tim Cook to introduce Super Mario Run. The five-minute demo walked through gameplay and teased a holiday release date.
