RUMOR - Switch battery provided by ATL

The Wall Street Journal has up a feature on the Switch which reveals a detail we haven't heard anywhere else. According to the article, the battery in the Switch has been provided by ATL. Why is this worth mentioning? ATL is the company that provided battery replacements for the Samsung Galaxy Note 7. Nintendo has declined to comment on this matter.

And this has now become a test for reading comprehension.

Oh.

Oooohhh...

I think I heard that the battery problems with the note 7 was due to the phone not having enough room for the batteries, not bad batteries

Correct. The battery itself was not the issue, according to Samsung.

That could still be a problem. There have been pictures of the Switch fully taken apart and one of the most noteworthy things about it is how there is NO empty space inside it. Nintendo filled it solid. Hopefully the battery has enough space, if that really was the issue.

This sounds like a rumour made by someone who wants to see Nintendo fail by inciting doubt about the quality and safety of the Switch...

Are you seriously accusing The Wall Street Journal of sabotage and/or "fake news"?

Watch out everyone, an explosive Switch is coming to a home near you.

anything to make the shares move .... such a great and fair system

So that would be good news anyway.
Why the negative comments ?

People are scared the Switch is now a bomb

No I get it, but ATL are the ones who provided the REPLACEMENT batteries, the better ones. People might have misread this I think. Or am I missing something ?

You are. The replacement batteries were also exploding.

And yet, it wasn't the batteries at fault, it was the fact they had no place to expand when heated.

Haha alright then ^^

Well if they produced by outlast than all is well, atliens for life
