- publishers and developers are free to set the price of their Nintendo Switch games
- the cost of manufacturing a Switch game is higher than the cost of making a PS4, PC or Xbox One game
- Switch game cards cost more to make than Blu-ray discs
- cost of the card differs on the storage space, although the price may vary according to print run
- Nintendo's policy is that Switch eShop games should cost the same as their physical versions
