IGN - Rocket League devs talk multiplayer features, HD Rumble, 60fps/720p and more

The following comes from an IGN interview with Psyonix's Vice President Jeremy Dunham and Producer Bobby Garza...

- aiming to make sure the game runs at 60 fps docked and undocked
- will have every feature all of the other versions have, including Season mode, Hoops, Drop Shot, Rumble, and Snowday
- supports local multiplayer for up to eight Switch
- will also allow for up to four players to play splitscreen when the Switch is docked and two when undocked
- "aiming for" 60 fps in splitscreen, but will provide exact numbers closer to launch
- exploring the inclusion of HD rumble
- devs weren't sure the game could work on Switch, but were determined to try after seeing Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

I've held off on getting this for my PS4, because I was hoping I'd hear about it coming for the Switch. Hopefully it also has some kind of offline single player mode so that you can take your Switch on the go but still work on your skills at the game. I will absolutely be picking this up on the Switch, and the cross-play just makes it that much more certain I'll be getting it. This first year of the Switch's release has an outstanding catalog of games...and we won't be 1 year in until March of next year!

If only other developers had that same type of curiosity.
