My Nintendo Japan suffers downtime due to Switch preorders

As we mentioned recently, Nintendo was opening up custom Switch preorders via the Japanese My Nintendo store. These preorders, if placed by a certain date, are set to arrive by October. It seems fans were eager to get in, as the preorders going live has caused major downtime for the site. It has been down for hours now, with tons of people trying to secure a preorder. Hopefully Nintendo gets the kinks ironed out soon.
