Nippon Ichi Software, the team behind the Disgaea series, has hit some hard times financially. The company's titles haven't been selling all that well in Japan, and this created an issue that continues to build. Reports are coming in of employees going unpaid, and force the company to move to a MS (Moving Strike) Warrant. A MS Warrant is a stock term that relates to raising funds that otherwise cannot be acquired through the normal means of borrowing from banks or investors.

We're not sure what's going to happen to Nippon Ichi Software from here on out, but hopefully they can find a way to turn things around. We'll be keeping tabs on the situation, and we'll certainly bring you any updates.

Thanks to FangztheWolf for the heads up!
